I understand that choosing a tutor for your child is both a personal and a financial commitment. Therefore, it is of paramount importance that you find the right one. I believe my experience of working with children, knowledge of childhood theory and development and my passion for the work sets me apart. Here is a little more about me so you can feel confident in your decision to work with me.
I am fully qualified in teaching all subjects within the Scottish and English Primary School Curriculums and work, in person and remotely with children of any age between 4 and 12.
I achieved a grade A in my HNC in Early Education and Childcare and graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a 1st Class Honors in BA (Hons) Primary Education. I am fully registered with the General Teaching Council (GTCS). I am also fully PVG (police background) checked.
Philosophy & Mission
One thing that sets L.S. Tuition apart from other tutoring companies is personalisation. Each child I work with is seen as an individual and the learning is tailored to provide a individualised experience based on ability, personality and interest.
Instilling Confidence & Promoting Self-belief
Working with children is my passion. I truly love what I do and have worked very hard to develop my skill set and ability within the teaching profession over the past 7 years.
I firmly believe that the foundation of success within the classroom and within teaching are strong relationships. Children will not thrive and learn unless they are in an environment in which they feel supported, loved and comfortable. Children in my classroom know they are valued and cared for as individuals which allows them to thrive academically. I enable children to build their confidence and support them in developing a sense of self-belief and independence.
